Introduction
This is a variant of the Classic twin size low loft bed by Maxwood Furniture reviewed here:
It is essentially the same product, except of course for the staircase which steps in for the ladder here. No pun intended. The staircase is 18 inches wide, making the entire bed 99.5 inches long. That’s quite an enlargement, but you do get back some 12 inches or so in the width area by removing the ladder.
The bed is made from plantation-grown New Zealand pine wood and has the weight capacity of 400 lbs. The guardrail height is 14 inches; the manufacturer recommends the mattress thickness not to exceed 8 inches, in order to stay within the safety regulations parameters.
The staircase version of the Classic low loft bed is available in 3 finishes, as opposed to up to 5 for the ladder version. White and gray are smooth finishes, while clay is distressed, so it will have a bit of a rough surface and a bit of an uneven coloring. Going for that rustic vibe.
In addition to providing safer access to the bed, the staircase provides some storage space as well. There aren’t any classic drawers here, though, only shelves and cubbies that can be reached from the side.
Twin Size Low Loft Bed With Slide
A slide will undoubtedly increase the kids’ enjoyment of using the bed. The one pictured here is a new version branded Easy Slide and it’s been improved primarily with safety in mind. It features a lowered top platform with taller side rails that include a hand detail. This is meant to minimize the possibility of falling over the side and to center and stabilize kids before taking off. The lower starting point also reduces the speed of sliding, and the curved bottom softens the landing.
A downside inherent to slides is, they take up a lot of space. This one in particular is some 50 inches long, making the whole arrangement almost as wide as it is long.

Classic Twin Size Low Loft Bed With Curtain
A curtain or tent down below will provide a different sort of fun than a slide. A more… well, tame sort. (No, I did not mean boring, don’t put words in my mouth.)
Anyway, some facts. This set of curtains comes with a front and a side panel, so in reality it will only cover one half of the bed. In order to create a completely enclosed space, the bed will need to be placed in a corner. Alternatively, you could put the shorter panel on the opposite side of the stairs, since they kind of already represent a barrier of a sort.

The curtains are made of 100% cotton, except for the windows which are transparent plastic. They attach with a Velcro strip. Here are the measures:
