Introduction
This is the full sized version of the Classic loft bed by Maxwood Furniture. It follows the same design guidelines: slatted headboards with flush, color-matched hardware for clean contemporary aesthetics.
The full loft bed boasts the same 400 lbs weight capacity, which has become the company’s trademark by now. They get there by using 7 layered plywood mattress slats (professedly more durable and pliable) and a perpendicular metal rod for additional support. You can sort of make out how that looks in the image below.

The guardrails on this loft bed are 14 inches high, which means that you could theoretically use a 9 inch mattress and still be compliant with the safety regulations which specify that there has to be at least 5 inches of space between the top of the mattress and the top of the guardrail. However, the manufacturer says not to use a mattress thicker than 8 inches. Six inches of guardrail clearance is better than five.
The ladder is angled and features five wide grooved steps to prevent sliding. On the basic, bare-bones version of this loft bed it attaches to the footboard side. This adds some 17-18 inches to the bed’s length for a total of 98.25 inches. Be aware of that when planning where to place the bed if the room is not very spacious.
The other two configurations (those with included bookcase and desk) have the ladder attached at the side, so it will protrude into the room in the other direction, adding to the width of the bed for a total of 75.25 inches.
Classic Full Size Loft Bed is available in up to 4 finishes: white, pecan, walnut and clay. The clay finish is of distressed variety, meaning the wood underwent a special wire brushing procedure to expose its natural grain. The end result is a weathered texture with slightly uneven coloring which gives the furniture that rustic appeal of vintage styled homes.
Full Size Loft Bed With Bookcase

The bookcase adds 3 rather spacious shelves to the setup. Close to thirteen inches deep and spanning the entire width of a full sized bed, these provide plenty of space to put aside some books, toys and everyday items. The bookcase might even improve the stability of the structure due to the added binding points and more weight.
Notice the placement of the ladder as opposed to the bare-bones version. The bookshelf and ladder are interchangeable. It is also possible to place the ladder on the same side with the bookshelf, thus creating more than 60 inches of free space under the bed.
- Approximate shelf dimensions: 54” W x 13” D x 17” H
Full Size Loft Bed With Bookcase And Desk

I am a self-proclaimed fan of the loft-bed-with-desk setups so, unsurprisingly, this configuration is my favorite. The desk is a modest 15 inches deep but shares the width with the bed for a decent square footage in all. It can also be positioned facing inwards if you find that works better for you. I’ll try to find a picture to show you how that looks. Okay, found it. See below.
- Desk dimensions: 28.5” H X 57.75” W X 15” D
- Overall product weight: 181 lbs

What Users Say
By the time of this writing I did not find enough reviews and ratings on this loft bed to be able to make a fair assessment of its worth to the buyers. I will update this page when that changes.
