Bunk Beds For Boys

Modern Farmhouse Twin Over Full Bunk Bed in driftwood finish.

What makes a good bunk bed for a boy? Design? Finish? Accessories? A little bit of everything, probably. Young gentlemen might prefer furniture that is more, well, masculine in appearance: darker colors, natural finishes, often distressed, with rustic, outdoorsy feel. Antiqued hardware may be a nice touch (depending on the style of the bed) and perhaps some rough-and-tumble embellishments. Light natural finishes (such as maple or birch) are also very popular among boys, and will also do great if you’re buying a bunk bed for a mixed couple.

On this page you will find a selection of bunks that I feel posses a certain manly air about them. Of course, in no way is this a be-all end-all collection of boys bunk beds. If there isn’t anything here that suits your or your boy’s needs and taste, be sure to check out the rest of the site.

It should also be noted that all bunk and loft beds for boys featured here strictly adhere to both mandatory and voluntary safety standards imposed by responsible agencies — this is twice as important since the end users will be children.

The robust looking Malave is the perfect pick for a boys’ room. Same goes for the two-tone natural and black Caribou bunk bed.

The Modern Farmhouse bed features a distressed finish that brings out the wood grain. Also, that ladder integrated into the footboard looks like a challenge boys might enjoy. The Barnett bed with its graphite blue finish also looks like it’s been made for boys.

Full Over Full Bunk Beds For Boys

These robust full size bunk beds are meant for boys of a bit older age. Made of solid pine wood, with excellent mattress support.

Low Height Bunk Beds For Boys

For boys of younger age there are low bunk beds. Both the blue Classic and the gray Harmanie with slide might be a good solution as your kid’s first grown-up bed.

Bunk Beds For Boys With Stairs

For safer access to the top bed there are bunk beds with stairs. White may not be the first color you’d choose for a boy, but this unique wire-brushed finish on the Huseman bed that brings out the beauty of wood with variations in texture and color might prompt you to change your mind.

Metal Bunk Beds For Boys

You could argue metal as a material better suits boys than it does girls, and you may or may not be right. But the heavy duty Powell bed pictured here in that unusual pewter finish, and the unique Hobgood creation would certainly look right at home in a boys’ room.
